Nyamawani Pan is focused on green energy. The camp is run solely on solar power with a diesel-powered generator for backup services. As the pan constantly needs water to be fed by numerous wells, it requires a high demand for electricity supply.

Two Unique Camps to Choose From

Kamakara Safaris operates two camps in separate ecosystems: Nyamawani Pan in Mana Pools National Park and Shamashanga Camp on the Zambezi River. This gives guests access to both land-based big game viewing and river-based experiences in one itinerary.

Purpose-Built for Game Viewing

Each camp was designed around wildlife movement. Nyamawani Pan has raised walkways for uninterrupted animal passage and private views of the waterpoint. Shamashanga sits along the Zambezi with direct access to game-viewing and fishing activities.

Seamless, Low-Impact Travel

We arrange all travel to and between camps, including charter flights, boats, and vehicle transfers. Both camps run on solar power, with backup generators, minimizing environmental impact while maintaining operational reliability.

    We spent 2 nights at Nyamawani Camp and what a lovely and relaxing experience. Watching the animals drink from the pan throughout the day, going for a day trip to Chitake and just the over all experience. We then went on to Shamashanga and it fantastic as always!
